Big tech firms are investing heavily into artificial intelligence, highlighting the strategic importance placed on the advance of AI.

Microsoft poured $13bn into OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT.

Amazon has ploughed $4bn into Anthropic, a company that researches and creates reliable, beneficial AI systems, check out it’s ChatGPT rival called Claude.

Now Google is set to invest an undisclosed amount into Character.AI.

Character.AI is an artificial intelligence, chatbot based app, allowing you to engage in dialogue with fictional, historical, and celebrity figures.

Basically, you could have a chat with Julius Ceasar over your morning cornflakes if you really wanted to. And would you?
