Hello!

Thanks for stopping by my profile. I hope this will help you get to know me.

I’ve been working as a freelance marketing consultant and content writer since 2009.

I’m based in Bristol.

How I help clients

I tend to work with small knowledge based consultancy and creative businesses.

My work is tailored to each client but usually combines things from two areas - content and strategy/support.

Content that attracts business

Writing articles for websites and LinkedIn
Producing case studies and deeper content downloads
Advising on website content and writing complete sites
Creating email newsletters - I use Mailchimp and Hubspot
Writing personal LinkedIn profiles

Marketing strategy and support

Outsourced marketing manager - a 'go to' source of advice and 'getting things done' each month
Website reviews - often focused on better SEO
Reporting - helping interpret Google Analytics

I’m not a web designer but I am happy adding content to Wordpress and Squarespace sites.

My earlier career

I spent my earlier career working in big creative agencies and consultancy businesses in Bristol and London. I was always a business developer or agency ‘suit’ managing clients and pitches. I particularly enjoyed getting involved in any copywriting which is why this features in a lot of my work these days.

I did the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in the 90's and, unusually for a marketer, I've also worked in HR and am CIPD qualified. I work with a number of HR and 'people' consulting clients as a result.

Outside of work
