I am a highly experienced strategic advisor and commercial finance professional having worked for 20+ years, as a strategic business partner to various public, private sector clients, and SME businesses. I am adept at financial management, cost assurance on infrastructure projects through commercial management, audits & training. This includes strategic advisory & business plans for funding or growth & digital transformation in SME & Start-Up businesses.

I am capable of undertaking cost assurance audits, capital projects, contracts, or cost optimisation reviews. I provide robust advisory services, benchmark, and develop policies or protocols for realising long-term strategic plans. I am also capable of delivering training and developing a leading, transformed commercially-focused business or team.
Experience & Projects
Past senior positions are Network Rail, Deloitte Consulting, Westminster Council, Ealing Council and Mott MacDonald. I have led or worked on projects of up to £1.6bn undertaken on behalf of or by Crossrail, Costain, Balfour Beatty, Vinci, Bechtel, Siemens, HSBC, Dept for Works & Pensions, Lloyds Banking Group & Willis. I have successfully helped in delivering up to £15m of cost efficiencies and minimised risks within these organisations and on these projects.
Ethos & Career Aspirations
I started my career in banking & management accounting, but I quickly moved into consulting because I aspired to do more. I founded CFBL consulting and do so more widely now as a strategic business partner providing advisory, training, policy & protocols. I drive sustainable long-term value via cost assurance audits & training on infrastructure projects. I chair a multi disciplinary industry wide steering group providing thought leadership on this topic. Finally I drive strategy, resilience & transformation in SME & Start-Up Businesses.
