My background is in factual television: two decades of distinctive, innovative filmmaking across British and American broadcasting. I've produced wildlife epics for the BBC Natural History Unit, National Geographic and Sky Nature, directed six episodes of global hit show River Monsters over four seasons — including three feature-length specials that broke viewing records — and headed up the creative team that produced the BAFTA-nominated MOON: Nature's Secret Force, Sky's biggest ever natural history commission.
Along the way I've interviewed David Attenborough and Princess Anne, filmed across the world from Arabia to Zambia, and led creative teams producing work ranging from a few thousand pounds to several million. Every production is its own mission: a complex, high-stakes operation requiring vision, leadership, precise budgeting and the ability to bring the best out of people under pressure.
What I've learned — and what I now bring to consultancy and coaching — is that the skills which make great television are the same ones that make great organisations, whatever their size, and unlock great potential in individuals:
I've launched Pericline to bring these same skills — finding the story, shaping it, and telling it well — to organisations and individuals beyond the world of television.
These days, home is Shepton Mallet, in the heart of Somerset — and it's from there I work with clients across Bath, Bristol and the South West, in person or online.

"I have had an excellent experience as a coachee of Dominic's. I was in two minds to start with as I had recently had some career coaching with an agency dealing with the corporate sector so I was slightly worried I'd be duplicating what I'd already done. I could not have been more wrong, Dominic's approach has been a revelation. When we first spoke, my goals were all over the place, I had just taken redundancy after working for the same organisation for 30 years and was at sea, feeling overwhelmed, without purpose and having a bit of an identity crisis. Dominic's coaching approach was the perfect antidote. On our first session I babbled at him for what felt like ages. At the end of my lengthy monologue, Dominic was quietly and calmly reassuring, and I was astonished when he told me what he'd heard in a few clear and simple sentences. That was a revelation to me, and I knew the sessions were going to work well. I have met my goals, I have put more order into my week, which one of my ambitions. Being set tasks has been a godsend - because we've made 'homework' a goal, so I'm accomplishing what I set out to do. Re-writing my LinkedIn profile is something I had put off for months, but by new about section has just gone live. I know it reads more confidently because Dominic's coaching has given me the confidence. Dominic is very good at listening, and his feedback is always considered."

"Dominic has had the ability to calm my chaotic mind and to help me leave the sessions feeling positive about my goals, and life in general. Never pushy, very respectful, he has asked excellent questions which have made me think about things I should question. Overall, it has been a very necessary time in my life."

"“During my Wildlife Documentary Production Master’s degree, I took part in a mentoring programme, where Dominic supported me in developing my goals in wildlife filmmaking. Over the course of 10 months, we had regular sessions talking about my progress and evolving projects. From the very beginning he was knowledgeable, encouraging, generous with expert advice and honest feedback. His guidance helped me improve my work, grow in confidence, and develop a much stronger understanding of the wildlife film industry. Thank you so much!” University of Salford – Wildlife Documentary Production https://www.salford.ac.uk/courses/postgraduate/wildlife-documentary-production "

"I’ve been fortunate to have my artwork photographed by Dominic Weston on several occasions over the years, across exhibitions and site-specific settings. These have included large-scale installations such as B-Wing (Shepton Mallet Prison, 2019), The Gleaning (2022), As Old as the Hills (2024), and sculptural work in Wells Cathedral (2021 & 2026). I’ve consistently been thrilled by the quality of Dominic’s photographs. His professionalism, keen eye for detail, and ability to find unexpected perspectives set his work apart. He has a remarkable talent for capturing not only the materiality, presence, and dimensionality of the work, but also its atmosphere and drama within each unique context. Dominic’s images have been invaluable as high-quality documentation for my website, exhibition proposals, PR, and social media. I continue to return to him for this reason. Most recently, I asked Dominic to photograph my installation Threads of Light in the Chapter House at Wells Cathedral. It was a challenging piece to capture, but he approached it with great sensitivity and skill, producing a wide range of images that beautifully conveyed both the essence and intricate detail of the work. The photographs, taken in the early morning light, brought the installation vividly to life in a compelling and memorable way. FIONA CAMPBELL, ARTIST & EDUCATOR, MRSS, "
